Step 1: Open Internet Explorer

First, launch Internet Explorer on your computer. You can do this by clicking on the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop or by searching for it in the Start menu.

Step 2: Access the Favorites Folder

Once Internet Explorer is open, click on the Favorites button located in the upper-right corner of the window. This will open the Favorites sidebar, which displays all your saved bookmarks.

Step 3: Sort by Name

To sort your favorites by name, click on the “Name” header in the Favorites sidebar. This will alphabetize your bookmarks by their names. If you want to reverse the order, simply click on the “Name” header again.

Step 4: Sort by Date Added

If you prefer to see your bookmarks sorted by the date they were added, click on the “Date Added” header. This will organize your bookmarks in chronological order, with the most recent bookmarks appearing at the top.

Step 5: Sort by Visit Count

If you want to prioritize your most visited websites, click on the “Visit Count” header. This will sort your bookmarks based on the number of times you have visited each site, with the most frequently visited sites listed first.

Step 6: Customize Sorting Options

Internet Explorer also allows you to customize the sorting options further. To do this, right-click on the “Name,” “Date Added,” or “Visit Count” header and select “Sort by.” From the dropdown menu, you can choose to sort your bookmarks in ascending or descending order.

Step 7: Save Your Changes

After sorting your favorites, make sure to save your changes. To do this, close the Favorites sidebar by clicking on the “X” button in the upper-right corner of the window.
